Chatham adds OooH Wee Smothered, two seafood shops
Chatham picked up eleven new businesses in February, including OooH Wee Smothered, Seashell Seafood Market, and Fisherman's Island. Permit value dropped 69% to $181k, mostly because fifteen of the month's sixteen permits were express jobs—quick turnarounds that don't cost much. Service requests climbed 9% to 1,042, with nearly 200 coming from the now-defunct tree trim line (the city stopped accepting those requests but calls still landed). Potholes accounted for 101 complaints. Crime ticked down 4%, violent offenses basically flat.
