Brighton Park residents called in 469 graffiti removal requests in March, five times more than the next-highest category. Overall 311 calls climbed 29% to 1,224. Twenty permits came through, up from 15, but their combined value dropped 82% to $245k after a big-ticket February. Thirteen were express permits. Crime reports rose 33% to 177, with violent offenses up from 45 to 51. Five food establishments failed inspections, up from three.
