Bridgeport permit value drops 30% to $826k
Bridgeport issued 16 permits in April, three more than March, but total value fell 30% to $826k. Express permits led with 11. New business licenses dropped sharply to five, down from 15 the prior month. Among them: Urban Pet Rx, an animal care operation, and 31st Street Beauty Salon. Service requests fell 12% to 1,187, led by 171 tree trim requests. Crime dropped 19%, with violent offenses down 38% to 21. One food establishment failed inspection.
