Bridgeport permit value jumps 333% to $2.1M
Bridgeport issued 29 permits in March, more than double February's 14, with total value climbing from $493k to $2.1 million. Fifteen were express permits, the fastest-track option. No new business licenses appeared. Service requests rose 16% to 1,035, led by graffiti removal (149 calls) and tree trim requests (130). Crime ticked up 31% to 124 incidents, including 38 violent offenses—a 41% increase. Two food establishments failed inspection, down from four the month prior.
