Bridgeport permit value jumps to $6 million
A handful of projects pushed Bridgeport's construction value to $6 million in January, up more than fivefold from December's $942k. The 21 permits included three new construction filings, though most were express permits for smaller jobs. Service requests climbed 17 percent to 997, led by 263 graffiti removal calls and 101 tree planting requests. Crime stayed flat—126 incidents versus 128 the month before, with violent offenses unchanged at 30. Five food establishments failed inspections, up from three.
