Austin permit value jumps to $18.7M on fewer applications
Austin pulled 66 permits in September, down 13% from August, but their combined value shot up 454% to $18.7 million. Most permits—43 of them—came through the express program, which handles smaller jobs. Fourteen were for renovations or alterations. The spike in dollar value suggests at least one major project landed, though permit counts themselves dropped. No new business licenses or closures showed up in the data this month.
