Austin permit value drops 90% to $2.6 million
Austin pulled 66 permits in November worth $2.6 million, down sharply from October's $26.5 million. Most of the month's activity—50 of 66 permits—came through the city's express program, which handles smaller, routine work. Seven permits went to renovation or alteration projects, another seven to elevator equipment. No new businesses opened or closed according to available records, and 311 complaints weren't tracked in this dataset. The October spike that made this month's drop look so steep isn't explained here.
