Austin permit count drops 28% despite $5M in total work
Austin logged 76 permits in September, down from 105 the month before, but the dollar figure climbed 24% to just over $5 million. Nearly two-thirds of the permits came through the city's express program. Another 18 covered renovations or alterations. No new business licenses appeared in the data, and 311 requests weren't tracked this month.
