Austin permit value jumps to $12.3M on fewer applications
Austin pulled 80 permits in June, down 19% from May, but their total value more than doubled to $12.3 million. Over two-thirds were express permits—54 of the 80—suggesting smaller-scale work dominated even as dollar figures climbed. A dozen renovation or alteration permits and a handful of sign, demo, and new construction jobs rounded out the month. No new business licenses showed up in the data.
