Austin permits triple to 99, $5M in work
Austin saw 99 permits pulled in May, up from 31 the month before. Total value hit $5 million, nearly triple April's $1.8 million. Two-thirds of the permits came through the express program, which handles smaller jobs. Twenty permits covered renovations or alterations. Four were for new construction. No new business licenses were recorded, and service request data wasn't available for the month.
