Ashburn permit value jumps to $4M on 13 fewer permits
Ashburn's 39 permits in June totaled nearly $4 million, up 369% from May's $850k, even though permit count fell by a quarter. Thirty-five were express permits; three renovation jobs and a sign rounded out the rest. Crime climbed 11%, with violent offenses up 26% to 64. Residents filed 1,425 service requests, a 4% uptick, led by garbage cart issues (185) and tree emergencies (100). No new business licenses or closures. No food inspection fails.
