Ashburn permit spending jumps to $2.4 million
Permit spending in Ashburn climbed to $2.4 million in July, nearly four times June's $638k. The neighborhood issued 45 permits, up from 36, with 40 of those coming through the express program. Residents filed 1,727 service requests, a third more than the prior month—219 for garbage cart maintenance alone, 175 for tree debris cleanup. Violent crime edged down slightly to 55 incidents. Two food establishments failed inspections, double June's count.
