Armour Square new businesses fall to 8
Eight new businesses opened in Armour Square in April, down from 12 the month before. Park to Shop Supermarket picked up both a retail food license and a package goods permit. ThinkLab STEM launched as a children's services facility, and Huiping Ju and The Sandwich Outfit both joined shared kitchens. Crime fell 17 percent to 71 incidents, but violent offenses inched up from 17 to 18. Graffiti removal led 311 requests at 132, trailed by potholes at 33. Two permits went out, both for new construction, worth $1.8 million combined.
