Armour Square permit count drops 61% in August
Armour Square issued just nine permits in August, down from 23 the month before. The value of those permits also fell, from $1.2 million to $773k. Seven were express permits; one was for new construction. No new businesses opened or closed. Service requests climbed 8% to 475, led by 109 graffiti removal calls and 97 tree trim requests. Crime ticked up 18% to 105 incidents, with violent offenses rising from 33 to 39. Eight food establishments failed inspections, up from six in July.
