Archer Heights issued just two permits in April, down from ten the month before. Both were for renovation or alteration work. Six new businesses opened, including Carniceria La Hacienda #5, Matilda Tostadas, and Smoothie King. Crime fell 41 percent to 49 incidents; violent offenses dropped by half. Graffiti removal requests led 311 calls at 144, followed by 85 pothole complaints. Three food establishments failed inspections, up from zero in March.
