Crime jumps 25% as permits drop in Archer Heights
Archer Heights logged 130 crimes in September, up from 104 the month before. Violent incidents rose from 24 to 33. Permit activity fell hard — just 9 permits worth $575k, down from 26 and $2.5 million in August. Seven of those were express permits. Graffiti removal requests led 311 calls with 202, followed by 73 vehicle sticker complaints. Food inspection failures dropped from six to three.
