Albany Park permit value jumps to $19M on new construction

Eighteen permits pulled $19 million in December, up from $352k the month before—a 53-fold leap driven by new construction work. Eleven permits came through the express program, four were new-build jobs. No new businesses registered and none closed. Service requests ticked up slightly to 899, led by 109 graffiti removal calls and 98 snow-clearing complaints (winter doing its thing). Crime fell 5%, with violent incidents down 22% to 52. Three food establishments failed inspections, one fewer than November.
