West Town permit value drops 65% to $13.3 million
West Town saw 109 permits in August, down 26% from July's 147, with total value plummeting from $38 million to $13.3 million. More than half the permits—54—came through the express program. Renovation and alteration work accounted for 22 permits, while demolition, signs, and new construction each logged nine. No new business licenses or closures were recorded.

West Town permit value jumps to $406 million
West Town's permit value shot up 136% in August, hitting $406 million compared to $172 million the month before. The neighborhood logged 114 permits, down slightly from 120 in July. More than half (53) were express permits, followed by 21 each for signs and renovation work. Nine new construction permits also came through. No new business licenses or closures showed up in the data this month.
