West Town permit value doubles to $38M
West Town saw permit value jump 102% to $38.1 million in July, more than double June's $18.9 million. The city issued 147 permits, up from 106 the month prior. Express permits led the way with 64, followed by 37 renovation jobs and 28 sign permits. Ten new construction permits also hit the books. No new business licenses or closures showed up in the data this month.

West Town permit value jumps to $172 million
West Town's construction activity tripled in dollar terms, hitting $172 million across 120 permits—up 247% from June's $49 million. The bulk came through express permits (59 filings) and renovation work (35 permits). New construction accounted for a dozen permits. The count itself barely budged, down three permits from the prior month, but somebody wrote a very big check.
