Uptown pulls 21 express permits, $10.2M total
Uptown logged 37 permits in March, up a third from February, with total value hitting $10.2 million. Most of the activity came through the express permit program—21 of the 37—plus seven sign permits and five renovation jobs. Two wrecking permits and one new construction rounded out the month. No new business licenses or closures showed up in the data.

Uptown permit value jumps to $16.9 million
Uptown pulled 37 building permits in March, more than double February's count, and their combined value hit $16.9 million—up from $919k the month before. Nineteen were express permits, 13 for renovations. New businesses included Michuu Ethiopian Restaurant and Posh Polish Nail Salon. Service requests climbed 18 percent to 1,277, led by 191 graffiti removal calls and 135 pothole complaints. Crime ticked up 17 percent to 305 incidents. Six food establishments failed inspections, double last month's three.
