Pullman permit spending doubles despite fewer projects
Pullman logged $474k in construction work across five permits in June, almost double May's total despite fewer actual projects. Four of those permits came through the express program. Residents filed 292 service requests, down 12% from the previous month. Potholes dominated the list with 62 complaints, followed by tree-related issues. Crime fell slightly to 91 incidents, with violent offenses dropping by more than a third to 22. No new businesses opened or closed.

Pullman logged just six permits in June, down from 15 the prior month, with total value falling to $101,295—a 96% drop from May's $2.6 million. Three of the permits were for signs, two through the express program, and one for demolition work. Service requests fell 15% to 325, led by tree-related calls: 34 for debris cleanup, 29 emergencies, and 26 planting requests. Violent crime jumped 40% to 28 incidents, though overall crime dipped slightly to 82. No new businesses opened or closed.
