Permit spending in O'Hare surged to $4.7 million in September, more than triple August's $1.4 million. The neighborhood issued 44 permits, up 83% from the prior month, with 35 filed under the express program. Aircraft noise complaints remained the dominant 311 category at 30,870—accounting for nearly all the area's service requests. Violent crime ticked up 20% to 24 incidents. Food inspection failures dropped sharply, from six to one.
