North Park permit value jumps to $3.6 million
Permit value in North Park shot up 319% in April, hitting $3.6 million compared to $870k the month before. The neighborhood pulled 20 permits, up from 13, with nine coming through the express program. Pothole complaints dominated 311 calls — 127 street potholes and another 23 in alleys. Service requests dropped 14% overall to 456. Violent crime fell by five cases to 22. Two food spots failed inspection, double March's count.

North Park gets auto shop, beauty salon amid permit jump
Permit activity more than doubled in April — 19 permits worth $1.5 million, up from seven the prior month. Nine were for signs. Five businesses opened, including NM Auto Repair & Body Shop and Elegance Beauty Salon. Service requests climbed 48% to 867, with potholes (219 street, 60 alley) accounting for a third. Crime fell 36% to 32 incidents. No food inspections failed, down from three in March.
