North Park permit value hits $9.3 million
Permit spending in North Park shot up 230% in July, hitting $9.3 million on 31 permits. Most of that came through the express-permit program, which handled 24 of the jobs. At the same time, violent crime climbed 71%—from 17 incidents to 29. Service requests rose 13%, led by pothole complaints (64) and tree debris calls (60). Four food establishments failed inspections after zero the month before.

North Park permit value triples to $1.5 million
North Park pulled the same number of permits in July as June—14—but their total value jumped 166% to $1.51 million. Eleven were express permits; two were tagged new construction. Rodent complaints led 311 activity with 50 calls, followed by 43 garbage-cart requests. Overall service requests inched up 2% to 531. Crime rose 16% to 80 incidents, though violent offenses dropped 23% to 20. One food establishment failed inspection. No new businesses opened or closed during the month.
