North Lawndale pulled 24 permits in December, down 48% from November's 46. Total value dropped even harder: $1.06 million, off 74% from the prior month's $4.1 million. Renovation work led with 11 permits, followed by seven express permits and four for signs. No new businesses opened or closed.
