New City logged $3.7 million in permit work in June, more than double May's $1.6 million. The 41 permits included 33 through the city's express program, six for renovations, and two for demolition. No new business licenses were issued.

New City permit value doubles to $9.8M
New City pulled 63 permits in June, up 43% from May, with total project value hitting $9.8 million—more than double the prior month. Express permits led the way with 31 filings, followed by 23 new construction permits. The neighborhood didn't see any new business licenses or closures this month.
