Mount Greenwood permit value jumps to $1.57 million

Ten permits pulled $1.57 million in declared work in April, more than double March's $652k. Seven of those came through the express-permit program. Service requests ticked up four percent to 437, led by 70 pothole complaints. Crime dropped 29 percent to 32 incidents, with violent offenses down from 19 to 13. Mount Greenwood permit value drops 94% in April

Permit value in Mount Greenwood fell from $21.3 million in March to $1.4 million in April, a 94% drop, even as the number of permits slipped only slightly (17 vs. 21). Most permits were routine express jobs. Three businesses launched, including Mosaics Boutique and Tea and a self-storage outfit called Storage Star. Crime fell 27% to 19 incidents, with violent offenses down from seven to five. Potholes led 311 complaints at 82, followed by garbage cart issues and standing water. One food inspection failed.
