Mount Greenwood permit value drops 99.8%

Mount Greenwood issued just one permit in February—a $1,000 renovation—down from eight permits worth $412k the month before. Residents filed 277 service requests, a 22% drop, with potholes leading the list at 50 complaints. Garbage cart maintenance and busted streetlights rounded out the top three. Violent crime ticked up from 8 to 11 incidents, while overall crime fell slightly. Three food establishments failed inspection, up from two.

Mount Greenwood permit value drops 82% to $112k

Permit dollar volume fell sharply in February, from $627k the month prior to roughly $112k, even as the count ticked up from four to six. Four of those were express permits. Seven new businesses registered, including El Pueblito Abarrotes & Ice Cream and a CVS Pharmacy location that picked up both retail food and package goods licenses. Violent crime rose from four incidents to seven. Residents filed 94 pothole complaints, nearly triple the next-highest 311 category. One food inspection failed.
