Montclare's permit value quintupled in December, hitting $205k—up from $37k the month before. Seven of the eight permits pulled were through the express program, typically smaller residential jobs bundled for speed. One wrecking or demo permit rounded out the count. Residents filed 413 service requests, a 17% bump driven mostly by tree trim requests (93) and recycling cart issues (38). Violent crime ticked up from eight incidents to ten.
