Logan Square pulled 50 permits in February worth $3.2 million, down from $13.8 million the month before. Half the permits came through the express program. New business licenses jumped 141 percent from January, reaching 77. Jinsei Motto picked up retail food, patio, and liquor permits; Buffalo Wild Wings and Dunkin Donuts also filed. Permit count dropped 12 percent to 46, but dollar value climbed 36 percent to $5.4 million. Crime reports rose 54 percent to 304, violent incidents from 40 to 57. Express permits led activity with 30 filings.
