Lincoln Square pulls 30 express permits in April
Lincoln Square logged 47 building permits in April, up from 40 the month before. Thirty of those came through the city's express permit program, which handles smaller jobs. The total dollar value of permitted work was $5.2 million, down slightly from March's $5.5 million. New construction permits numbered five. No new business licenses or closures showed up in the data this month.

Lincoln Square permit value drops 64% to $2.5M
Permit values in Lincoln Square fell by two-thirds in April, dropping from $7.2 million to $2.5 million even as 13 new businesses registered—including Bayan Ko Diner, a retail food spot, and Artango Bar and Steakhouse. The 34 permits issued leaned heavily on express permits (16 of them), with a handful of sign and renovation jobs rounding out the list. Residents filed 1,329 service requests, up 8%, mostly for potholes (165) and graffiti removal (105). Violent crime dropped by more than half, from 42 incidents to 19.
