Lincoln Square permit value jumps eleven-fold to $4.5M
Permit value in Lincoln Square shot up 1,133% in May, from $366k to $4.5 million, while the number of permits more than doubled to 38. Most were express permits (29), but the dollar surge suggests at least one hefty project. Service requests climbed a third to 1,282, led by yard waste pickups and tree emergencies—storm debris, likely. Crime ticked down 8% to 175 incidents, with violent offenses falling 15%. Food inspection failures dropped from eight to five. No new business licenses recorded.

Lincoln Square permits drop 23%, but dollar value climbs to $6.7M
Lincoln Square issued 36 permits in May, down from 47 the month before. The total value, though, rose 28% to about $6.7 million. Twenty-five of those permits came through the express program, with another nine for renovations or alterations. One new construction permit and one sign permit rounded out the list. No new businesses opened, none closed, and service requests didn't show up in the data this month.
