Lincoln Park permit value jumps to $27.8 million
Lincoln Park's permit value shot up 451% in April, hitting $27.8 million compared to $5 million the month before. The neighborhood issued 107 permits, up from 93. Nearly half were express permits (48), followed by renovation work (23) and signs (20). A dozen new construction permits also came through. No new business licenses or closures showed up in the data this month.

E-scooter parking complaints dominated 311 calls in April, with 822 reports—more than double the 483 Divvy bike gripes. Service requests rose 5.5% overall while crime dropped 44%, from 363 incidents to 204. Permit values fell 56% to $6.9 million, down from $15.7 million in March, though express permits still led activity with 42 pulled. New licenses went to Southport & Diversey BP (tobacco), a McDonald's, two 7-Elevens, and Hunters on Halsted, a new public amusement venue. Food inspection failures dropped from eight to one.
