Lincoln Park logs 52 express permits in February

Permit count rose 26% in February—87 vs. 69 the month prior—but total dollar value fell 13% to $11.7 million. More than half (52) came through the express program. Eighteen renovation or alteration permits followed, then eleven for signs. No new business licenses, no closures. The rest of the dashboard sat at zero.

Lincoln Park adds 66 businesses, led by Noema

New business licenses more than doubled in February, jumping from 27 to 66. Among the arrivals: Noema (a retail food spot with incidental liquor service), Daly's Donuts, and Lincoln Park Pilates. Building permits climbed 35% to 70, though their total value dropped 28% to $22.2 million—Express permits (34) led the way. Residents filed 2,206 service requests, up slightly, with graffiti removal (487) and potholes (247) topping the list. Crime ticked up 7% to 267 incidents, but violent offenses fell 10% to 44. Food inspection failures dropped from 11 to 7.
