Lake View permit value drops 42% to $10m
Lake View issued 93 permits in August—same count as July—but total value fell 42% to just under $10 million. Express permits led the way with 49, followed by 15 renovation jobs and 14 sign permits. Seven new-construction permits accounted for much of the dollar total. No new businesses opened and service-request data wasn't available for the month.

Lake View permit value jumps to $39M on construction work
Permit values in Lake View shot up 233% in August, hitting $39.3 million compared to $11.8 million the month before. The neighborhood pulled 115 permits, up nine from July. More than half—55 permits—came through the express program, while 24 covered renovations and 11 were for new construction. Six demolition permits also cleared. The big dollar figures suggest at least one major project, though the breakdown doesn't reveal which address drove the spike.
