Graffiti removal requests dominated Lake View's 311 activity in April, accounting for 259 of the neighborhood's 1,865 service calls. Rodent complaints came in second with 130. The neighborhood logged 47 permits worth $5.4 million, more than half of them through the express program. Violent crime made up 137 of the 520 reported offenses. Thirteen food establishments failed inspections.

Lake View logs 102 permits but value drops 34%
Lake View issued 102 permits in April, up from 82 the month before. But the total dollar value fell 34%, from $21.7 million to $14.3 million. Half the permits came through the express program, followed by 18 each for signs and renovations. No new business licenses or closures showed up in the city's datasets this month.
