Violent crime in Hyde Park climbed from 23 incidents in February to 35 in March—a 52% jump—while overall crime stayed flat. Residents filed 76 complaints about traffic signals being out, far outpacing the next-most common request. Building permits nearly doubled to 29, though their total value slipped 13% to $16.8 million. Express permits accounted for 16 of those filings. No businesses opened or closed.
