Hyde Park logs 28 permits, most through express track

Hyde Park pulled 28 permits in January, up 27% from 22 in December. Fifteen came through the express permit program—more than half the total. Permit filings in Hyde Park held steady at 27, but their declared value jumped from $2.9M in December to nearly $42M in January—a 1,347% increase. Most permits came through the city's express program (17 total), with nine renovation jobs following. Residents filed 485 service requests, up 25%, led by 54 complaints about broken traffic signals. Crime dropped 11% to 185 incidents; violent offenses fell 8%. Eighteen new business licenses appeared, including Te'amo Boba Bar and Bamenda Coffee.
