Hermosa pulled 10 building permits in January worth $217,000 total, an eight-fold spike from December's $24,000. Seven were quick-turn express permits; one was for new construction. Service requests climbed 39% to 584, led by 83 tree-trim calls (a category the city no longer accepts). Graffiti and garbage cart issues rounded out the top complaints. Hermosa pulled eight permits in January, same as the month before, but their combined value shot up to roughly $188k from $39k. Express permits led the count with four.
