Permit values in Greater Grand Crossing shot up 134% to $2.6 million in March, even as the number of permits dipped slightly to 26. Nearly all were express permits. New business licenses climbed 64% to 18, led by a cluster of convenience stores and fuel stops: Cottage Grove Meat & Grocery, Cottage Fuel, and BF Fuel & Mini Mart all picked up tobacco and retail food licenses.
