Grand Boulevard permit value doubles to $7.8M

Permit filings in Grand Boulevard jumped 47% in April, from 19 to 28, but the real shift was in dollar terms: $7.8 million, more than double March's $3.3 million. Fifteen of those permits came through the express program, with five each for renovation and new construction. Service requests climbed 31% to 613, led by 60 street light complaints and 44 abandoned vehicle reports. Violent crime ticked down 9% while overall incidents rose 8%. No new business licenses or closures showed up in the data.
