Twenty permits in February pulled $842k in declared value, up 184% from January's $296k. Sixteen were express permits; two were renovation jobs. Service requests fell 21% to 882, led by 141 tree-trim requests and 109 graffiti complaints. Potholes and garbage-cart issues rounded out the top five. Violent crime edged up to 35 incidents from 32. Two food inspections failed, double last month's one. No businesses opened or closed.

Garfield Ridge permit value doubles despite fewer projects
Permit value in Garfield Ridge jumped 95% to $732,228 in February, even as the number of permits fell from 22 to 18. Express permits led the way with 10 issued. New businesses included Los Primos Fresh Market & Taqueria and a cleaning outfit called Austico Premium Cleaning Solutions. Service requests dropped 11%, with tree trim complaints topping the list at 273—though the city's no longer accepting that category. Violent crime fell 19% to 25 incidents. One restaurant failed inspection, down from four last month.
