Gage Park permit value drops 67% to $91k
Gage Park pulled eight permits in February, all through the express program, but their combined value fell to $91,467 from $280,100 the month before. Residents filed 383 graffiti removal requests—more than a third of the month's 1,034 service calls. Abandoned vehicle complaints came in second at 158. Violent crime dropped 29% to 37 incidents, while overall crime edged down 4% to 165. Two food establishments failed inspections, same as January.

Gage Park permit value doubles to $455k
Gage Park pulled nine permits in February worth $455k combined, down from 13 permits the prior month but nearly double the dollar value. Five were express permits. The neighborhood added 12 businesses, including Hong Kong Restaurant, Top Tech Automotive, and Alva Autoworks. Service requests jumped 57 percent to 907, led by 198 graffiti removal calls. Crime reports climbed from 102 to 172, with violent offenses up to 36. Food inspection failures dropped from four to two.
