Edgewater permit value jumps 40% to $4.7M
Permit value in Edgewater climbed to $4.7 million in September, up 40% from August, even as the number of permits dipped slightly to 35. Most were express permits. Violent crime fell 23%, from 92 incidents to 71. Food inspection failures tripled to 12, up from four the month prior. Service requests dropped 12% to just over a thousand, with graffiti removal topping the list at 134 calls. No new business licenses were issued.

Edgewater permit value jumps to $6.4 million
Edgewater's building permits hit $6.4 million in September, up from $1.4 million the month before. Fifty permits were filed, with 31 through the express program. Elevator work accounted for seven permits, and nine covered renovations or alterations. One demolition permit was issued. No new business licenses or closures were recorded.
