East Side fielded 449 service requests in December, up 24% from November. Tree trim requests topped the list with 57 calls, though the city's no longer accepting that category. Abandoned vehicles (48) and busted streetlights (44) rounded out the top complaints. Crime dropped 10% to 105 incidents, with violent offenses down slightly to 32. Permit value in East Side fell from $479k to $144k in December, a 70% drop. The neighborhood issued nine permits, down from 14 the month before. Seven were through the express program. Service requests ticked up 8.5% to 423, led by 43 calls for garbage cart maintenance and 38 reports of street lights out. Thirty-three requests asked for removal of dibs—objects marking shoveled parking spots. Crime dropped 16% to 106 incidents. No businesses opened or closed. One food inspection failed.
