East Side permit value doubles to $303k

Permit value in East Side more than doubled in November, hitting $303k despite fewer permits overall (nine, down from 13). Eight of those were express permits. The neighborhood logged 361 service requests, down sharply from October's 1,024—street light complaints led with 64, followed by 56 abandoned vehicle reports. Crime fell slightly: 117 incidents versus 129 the month prior, with violent offenses down from 38 to 35. No new businesses opened and none closed.

East Side permit value doubles on fewer jobs

Permit spending in East Side more than doubled to $479k in November even as the number of jobs dropped by a quarter. Fourteen permits came through, down from 19 the month before. Ten were express permits; the rest split between signs and renovation work. Service requests fell by a third—390 total, led by garbage cart maintenance and street lights. Crime edged down slightly, with 126 incidents reported. Violent offenses dropped 17% to 34. No new businesses opened or closed.
