Dunning permit value jumps to $1.08M
Dunning pulled 20 permits in January, down from 28 the month before, but their combined value more than doubled to $1.08 million. Most were express permits (13) or renovations (6). Residents filed 56% more 311 requests than in December, led by 144 abandoned vehicle complaints and 139 tree trim requests. Violent crime dropped by 36%, from 47 incidents to 30. Four food establishments failed inspections, same as last month.

Dunning gets 11 new businesses, including Gwacamole Restaurant
Dunning added 11 businesses in January—among them Gwacamole Restaurant, Panini Piazza, and Let Loose Bar & Grill. Permits dropped from 17 to 14, but their total value climbed 27% to $614k. Most permits were express jobs; one was for new construction. Residents filed 664 service requests, led by 85 abandoned vehicle complaints and 53 sidewalk program requests. Potholes and busted street lights also made the list. Crime hit 62 incidents, 13 of them violent. One food spot failed inspection.
