Graffiti removal topped Chicago Lawn's 311 requests in February with 213 calls, part of 1,186 total service requests (down 10% from January). Abandoned vehicle complaints came in second at 148. Permit value in Chicago Lawn fell to $186,381 in February, down two-thirds from January's $566,040, even though the number of permits stayed nearly flat at 17. Most of those were express permits. New businesses included Los Cuates de Juanita's, a retail food spot, and auto shops Illinois Vehicles Auto Sales and Advantage Auto Dealer. Crime dropped 19% to 319 incidents; violent offenses ticked down slightly to 112. Service requests rose 3% to 1,715, led by 412 calls for tree trimming—a category the city no longer accepts.
