Violent crime in Beverly nearly doubled in June — 23 incidents, up from 13 the month before. Overall crime rose a more modest 6%. Beverly logged 25 violent crimes in June, up from 15 the month before—a 67% jump. Overall crime rose too, hitting 93 incidents.
