Permit value in Avondale climbed 26% to $3.2 million in September, even as the number of permits dropped from 37 to 32. Most were express permits (19) or renovation work (10). Rodent complaints came in second with 133. Crime ticked down slightly—173 incidents versus 176 in August—while violent offenses held nearly steady at 37.
